I fished Saturday with guide Joel Michel and
my friend Trevor on Lake Okauchee, as part of the Luke Breyer auction. Trevor landed a nice thick 46"er. Fairly slow
day action-wise, but Joel kept us positive the whole day, convinced each cast could be "the one". I can't say
enough good things about fishing with Joel - super guy, very knowledgeable, and somehow kept us excited to be fishing on a
crowded urban lake under a hot sun. Great day, highly recommended.

I wanted to drop
you a line, and provide some feedback regarding the guided fishing excursion I enjoyed on October 16th with Joel. While the
weather was not very cooperative (extremely cold and windy), we successfully boated a 36" Muskie. Despite the poor conditions,
Joel was confident we would land a Muskie, and he delivered! I must say, I was starting to have my doubts, given that everyone
we ran into were getting "skunked". This is a testament to Joel's talent and determination.
Perhaps more important than catching the fish, Joel was extremely patient in teaching the proper
techniques to myself and my eight year-old son. We are "novice" fishermen, and we had never caught anything larger
than a 14" Bass. You can only imagine the excitement in catching a Muskie the first time out! Despite the fact that Joel
set the hook, my son is convinced he "caught" the fish. 
He now calls himself the "Muskie Slayer" (despite the fact that we released the fish). It has been almost three
weeks since our trip, and my son still talks about it every day. Suffice it to say that Joel has helped cultivate a "fisherman
for life." Joel has an excellent demeanor with children, and gets an A+ as an instructor and guide.
Again, I would like to commend the efforts of Joel and your staff in delivering an unforgettable
fishing experience. We will definitely be back in the Spring, and I look forward to "hooking" up with Joel again.
